STAR RIDER - JOE LAWLER
Joe is now 9 years old, will be 10 on 29th June 2010. He started riding at the age 5 on a PW50.
In 2006 at the age of 6 he joined Lancashire Grasstrack Junior Riders Club, still on his PW50 as an Auto Cadet, but it was not long before he said he needed something faster as he could not keep up with the other riders.
Midway through 2006 he upgraded to a brand new KTM50, well what can we say there was no stopping him from that moment on & he loved every minute of it.
In 2009 Joe was ready to upgrade again to the Cadet class, this requires a 65cc engine, this was another challenge for him as he moved onto a slider built buy JHR, with a bigger engine and gears to contend with, the season started slow as he struggled to get used the bike and gears but that was short lived and halfway through the season he got his winning streak back, which is also due to the fantastic engine prep by Paul at PJW.
2010 is a very special season as he upgrades again to an
85cc engine and moves into the Junior class, still on his slider but with a
bigger engine. He will also be a mascot for Belle Vue Speedway and is very
excited about this, it will help him get to grips with the new engine etc as he
hopes to have a ride every Monday at the stadium if all goes well on the night.
Joe loves racing and as well as riding at LGTJRC and Belle Vue he will continue
to attend other grasstrack events such as Wainfleet along with Speedway training
schools being Stoke, Burton, Scunthorpe & Buxton when possible.
Joe never ceases to improve and impress , he has a genuine love for the sport
and cannot wait for the next season to start again, especially now he will have
some involvement with Belle Vue.
